#throwbackthursday Taking it way back to a 2005 to a @hmchorus concert called "All God's Children" where we sang about the utter contempt most religions have for gay ppl and the requisite damage it does to people and families. The stoles we are wearing and that hang on the stage we're from a project called "Shower of Stoles." They were the sacred garments worn by clergy that had shunned/fired/prosecuted/ because of their orientation. This is where I learned about an org called @soulfulaction which fights against religious based oppression. Powerful stuff. #heartlandmenschorus
