The Day that Yvette fell out of the telephone pole

Okay, so strange, I had a dream last night that Yvette and I were hanging out, it was during the winter in Chicago, and somehow we were talking about squirrels, and she was getting annoyed with them so she climbed up the telephone pole to get them out, and then she threw a flourescent light at one of the squirrels, and then fell out of the telephone pole. There was a bunch of people who were around, but nobody would help her, she was just sitting in the middle of the sidewalk, after falling out of the telephone pole, so I went up to her and asked her if she was okay, and then we tested her limbs to see if anyone of them were broken, and they weren't, so we (naturally) went to the prom together. Then at the prom, I ran into my friend Sabrina Hargrove who was sitting at one of the tables, and we embraced. The one thing that was strange about the prom was that it was like we were at a hotel, but the whole banquet room wasn't ready yet, it still had empty cans of beer and cocktail glasses, and dirty dishes on the tables. I also remember some guy being at Yvette's house who I knew, who possibly went to the same high school as me, but I don't remember who it was.

Isn't that just a hoot? So anyway, I've been commanding my mind to remember my dreams, because I always love it when I remember them, it always feels like I do better when I do that, and I can laugh about them. It's just so hysterical. So we have moved, and I am writing this journal from North of the Missouri River in the new townhouse, which is just so fabulous, it's hard to describe. My Mother called and told me that she was going to down to Florida, the week of the 3rd of June, and she asked if I wanted to go down there with them, and I said sure, I still have the free flight from Southwest that I got a couple of months ago, so I'll just use that to hop on down to Tampa, and then my sister Cara can pick me up at the airport, because Cara and Joe and the girls are driving down from Atlanta, so they'll pick me up at the Tampa airport, and we can just go down to Englewood, where my parents go every year. I have wanted to take some time off, and I know that they go down every year, and I haven't gone down there in SO long, so I'll be able to go for the week. Richard is going to come down during the latter part of the week, because he has some obligations to take care of the first part of the week, but it's all good, he'll just come down I think on Tuesday or Wednesday. Richard and I went to a chorus function last night, the choruswas emergency requested" to sing at this opening of this organization, the Mainstream Coalition, and Rev. Fred Phelps was supposed to be there, and picket the organization with all of his freak supporters, but he never showed up, and no protesters ever showed up either, so it was sort of dissapointing. I think a bunch of the chorus members, including myself, were looking forward to having a confrontation with Fred Phelps, but it wasn't in the cards apparently. We went to dinner after the chorus sung, and we went out with Larry and Doug and John Sims and the one guy that I can never remember his name. We went to Pizzeria Uno on the plaza and it was so fun to hang out with them, and catch up with Larry and Doug and John. After that we went home to our new fabulous house, and were checking reservations on Southwest, because we are going to be travelling soon! I am so excited to go see my sister and my two little neices, Gabriella and Juliana (and of course everybody else) but mostly to see those two.

The night the COUP was realized once again!

Okay, I just came back from the Rufus Wainwright show in Chicago and it was tremendous. My friend David got to meet him, and talk with him, before the sound check. I walked up to them and I heard Rufus say "I have to get to the sound check" so I just walked away, and then we got in line, we were the second people in line waiting for the show. Dave and I met this girl who was a huge fan of his as well, and we exchanged email addresses, because she wants copies of the pictures that I took during the concert! I took something like 20-25 pictures during the show, we were right in front, just about three feet away from him when he was playing the piano and the guitar. Amazing. The show was pretty much just a rundown of his new album "Poses" but he sounded amazing, and his band was tremendous. Much better than the previous concerts that we attended. We also got another BOOTLEGG of the show, we were listening to it in the car, and it's good, it turned out well, but the sound sort of overpowered the tape on a few sections, but for the most part, it was just another COUP! Now it's COUP - SQUARED! I will be posting these pictures whenever I get a chance to get them developed, and to get them scanned into the website. That girl we met is already going to send me money to get another set of prints to her, so if you want them, request them. Now is the time that I go to sleep, and prepare to make the long journey back to where I belong, with my Richard. I've missed him terribly during this weekend, and I can't wait to be back in his arms, where I belong.

From Chicago

Well I made it to Chicago and Sue Ellen was brilliant, I made it in 8.5 hours, I left at 7pm Thursday night, and got to Yvette's at about 3:30am, it was brilliant. I stopped a couple times for gas, but that was it, I went straight through. WONDERFUL! Ok, I am adding this link, because it was so amazing to see all of this information on one site, it's a NASA site, but I'm not sure where it was exactly from, so that's all good, actually....there's a beautiful picture of the Earth at night, from the Space Station, it is here I'll put in a plug for the Heartland Men's Chorus upcoming show as well:

Happy Mother's Day

Thursday, May 3, 2001

Well, by request I've taken this specific journal entry off. I might add something later, so for now,at least the following will stay:

We went up to Emporia, Kansas on Saturday because Richard had to play for the state competitions for this high school competition, and it was really funny because I took Sue Ellen up there, and I wanted to guage how the car handled, and she handled brilliantly. Now, I feel that I can drive to Chicago without a problem, that's coming up, and then the big moving day is coming up as well, so I'll be reporting from North of the Missouri River soon, and with Road Runner access, so I'll be able to update this page much better, and with more frequency. That's all for today

This is from my friend Aaron from the CGMC

Hi Bill! Long time no see....I WONDERED if perhaps you'd moved to Kansas City to be with your fella! :-) You must be really happy there--isn't it beautiful? My cousin lived near there until last year, and I couldn't get over how clean it was. And how nice the guys are. And all that PARKING space! But of course, the best reason of all to move--the fella! How IS Richard, anyway? Tell him I said hi. I miss having you around here, but you made a great move. And what a great group to be with, too!! Sorry we sort of "lost touch" last Fall--a lot of crummy shit starting happening with me at that point. 1) I lost my job (the "" turned out to be ""); 2) My landlord/ex-friend stiffed me out of my deposit on my old apartment, saying that I left it in an "appalling" condition, which I did NOT. (He just died of leukemia last week, so I sort of feel bad. But see what happens when people fuck with me? :-) Just kidding...) So anyway, needless to say, I was at my lowest ebb (to date, anyway) and REALLY crappy company, so I "isolated" for about two months. I was re-employed within two weeks of losing my job, but it's always stressful starting over, and it was exhausting, so I pretty much just collapsed every night when I got home. I'm better now, though. Now I work for the McCormick Tribune Foundation (in the Trib building), so the commute is really easy; the bus takes me from door to door. And they really love me here! There isn't much I can't do, which makes them happy, and will ultimately help me if I want to move up. Well, I'm looking forward to seeing you guys when you come! I can't wait to sing with you. Yes, I'm still with CGMC--we just finished our Spring show. I was a caveman--my most embarrassing costume yet! Certainly the most revealing--NEVER a good idea for me, although in my defense, I didn't look the worst! The music was fun to do, though. Well, I am so glad you're coming! Let me know how you're doing...we must catch up! Talk to you again soon... Aaron :-)
