Senator Duckworth Responds To My Letter RE: Elizabeth Warren Wealth Tax!

Thank you for contacting me about Senator Elizabeth Warren’s proposal for a wealth tax on fortunes over $50 million dollars. I appreciate you taking the time to make me aware of your concerns on this important matter.

Tax reform is central to the long-term stability and growth of our Nation’s economy and critical to our deficit reduction plans. Reforming our tax code requires greater investments in American workers, manufacturers and small businesses, without placing unfair burdens on working families and future generations. Moving forward, we must rewrite our tax code to create a system that is simple and equitable, and that will stimulate economic growth for every-day Americans and make sure the wealthiest individuals and largest corporations pay their fair share.

As your Senator, I believe our tax code should benefit all Americans and build a foundation for a stronger economic future.
