LIBRA An unusually good astrological day is waiting for you! Lucky Libra can expect the next 24 hours to be full of clear communication and harmonious transactions. You seem to have a special grasp of the intangible right now, so don't let it go to waste. This is a great time to get new ideas onto paper and to sketch designs that have been swirling around in your head. Tonight, savor every moment. .

For the love of all things christian!...I was late to work this morning, it wasn't a big deal, only like a half an hour. The only reason that I was late was because I took a sleeping pill last night, because I couldn't sleep, and it wasn't wearing off at all...so I was so completely drowsy this morning, and still am now that I think of it. You know how that feels? You take a pill, and then crash into sleep, and then wake up completely drowsy for the rest of the day...I hate it. I hate not sleeping even worse. This weekend I hardly did anything at all. Saturday morning, I did some banking, and I went to the evil Wal Mart to make some purchases, and then I came home, and Richard and I had to go to this dinner theatre thing, it was a murder mystery. So it was so gay. The only thing of note, was that Richard's ex was in the cast. This is how this whole thing happened. Richard and his friend Elsa are supposed to write a murder mystery for this upcoming Halloween at CSL so the church bought them tickets to go to a similar one for informational purposes, you know...for research. Well it turns out that Richard's ex is in this cast, and it made him horribly uncomfortable to have me in the same room with what's his name. I tried to make him as comfortable as I could, but it was apparent that he wanted to stick his head underneath the sand, and just dissappear at first. Then after a while, he warmed up to the situation, and we actually had fun at the thing. I thought the story was a bit too complex...maybe not complex, but for our purposes, I hink that we need to simplify this murder mystery completely. Other than that, my only other complaint was that I thought all the characters were so gay! I mean, the people who played the characters were all gay, and it just seemed like the characters were too, but it was a wedding thing, and they were all professing love to members of the opposite sex, and I thought, no...he's a big ol nellie....retract the wings mr. faerie! Other than that, I thought it was fun...I shook Kevin's hand at the end of the show, at the receiving line, and was complimentary. I treated him as I would have liked to be treated, and it was brilliant.

So Sunday, I woke up quite late, and didn't have time to go to the service so I resounded myself to sleep even later. It seems that my insomnia has crept back into my life, and I can use all the sleep I can take. I got out of bed at about 11am or so, and languished around in my underwear for the early part of the day. Then I got completely motivated and decided to go on a bike ride, so I hopped up on my fabulous bike, and went trekking around. I don't know, it's just not the same around here. When I was living in Chicago, I used to be able to jump on my bike, and get to the lake in five minutes, and now, its just a sea of suburbia. I guess I could ride around on the tarmac of K.C.I. but I don't think that they like that very much..just a hunch.

I had a wacked dream last night, or was it friday night, or saturday...i think it was friday night, because i didn't remember it until saturday afternoon. I was driving (the new chrysler) and it suddenly popped into my head....and I had quite an emotional moment whilst driving south on I-29. So anyway, the dream was that I was driving down the highway with my brother Mike and I looked to the side of the road, and there were all these people who were injured, and they were walking along, begging for help. So my brother said "we gotta stop" so we stopped and got out, it must have been a plane crash, or a bus crash, I couldn't tell what, but the people were all like walking along aimlessly looking for someone to help them, and we were the only two people helping them. I was getting horribly upset, and Mike was too, because we were the only ones who were helping them, and it was a horrifyingly helpless and traumatic feeling that we were the only ones helping all of these thousands of people. That was great. I love waking up like that.

I got a letter that I was excited to receive:

William K. Rosen
---- Ave. KCMO, 64151

Dear William:

Thank you for contacting my office regarding Senate Bill 19, the Employment Non-Discrimination Act of 2001, sponsored by Senator Tom Daschle.

Senate Bill 19 is a bill that protects the civil rights of all Americans, which covers a broad array of issues. As I am sure you are aware, the Employment Non-Discrimination Act of 2001, prohibits employment discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation. Additionally, this bill prohibits the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission from collecting statistics on sexual orientation.

The Senate bill is awaiting a hearing in the Senate Judiciary committee. I appreciate your views on this bill and will keep these in mind as this bill moves through Congress. Thank you again for contacting my office.

Sincerely,

Sam Graves
Member of Congress.

I love my life. Just when I was sort of feeling blue, and sort of melencholy, I was rummaging through the chorus pictures, because I have been assigned to do the pictures part of the new chorus website, and lo and behold I find a picture of Richard and I, the first day we ever met, sitting in the lobby of the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose California. God, does that picture bring back memories. I had heard a rumor that that picture was floating around somewhere on the internet, but never could get a hold of it, and it finally turned up in the chorus archives. Fabulous. This is such a great picture of the both of us, I put it on my bio page too. We met that day, and continued to hang out all day. There was a party at the Fairmont hotel with all the people who were staying there or whatever...it was some party, and we were right in the middle of it, talking and smooching, and drinking. I went to his hotel room, and we woke up his roomates because we were having such loud sex :-)
